Inverted Trap

The president sent a letter to the Office of the Vice President on the first week of November challenging Vice President Leni Robredo to take the seat as a co-chairperson of the ICAD. Just the day after the letter was sent, and a lot of different assumption and theory by the public, she accepted it.

According to the presidential spokeperson Salvador Panelo, they want her on board, but isn’t because they knew it is failing and they need someone to take the blame for them? After a lot of extrajudicial killings, this made the public have their realization that this campaign is full of failure and will continue to fail if this will not be addressed properly and accordingly to the law.

It’s not just the public that’s having the realization that this campaign will end as a failure, but also the pioneer of this campaign himself—the president. Though he’s not yet on a conclusion that it is a failure, he already knew that it will be a total stain on his part for what the results could be. Duterte’s bait for Leni will make her take the blame of the failure of the campaign at the end of the administration’s term, and it’s his way to get out of the mess he made. In short, he’s a scapegoat trying to find someone take the blame for his failures.

On a perspective, though she knew it could be bait, she uses it as a way to address this country’s drug problem without having any casualties as possible and undergoing the case to due process, and that’s how she shows how the justice system should work.

Duterte’s trap to stain his critic of all time—Leni, will turn out an inverted trap trapping his self if she can work better than him, and will address it properly. If it happened, people will praise Leni more than a coward like him who wanted to escape out of his own trap and it’ll turn out that he made a way to stain his image. (Karlofv Llaga)
